Toddler Program

We understand and believe that toddlers are explorers and active learners. Our qualified staff will develop a variety of hands-on learning experience through play for every child. Each week, the curriculum will provide goals and objectives appropriate to their age group which will encourage each toddler's learning and growth.  

The room is furnished with developmentally appropriate equipment and toys to provide toddlers with the materials they need to explore and learn. The classroom is designed for convenience allowing children to eat and sleep in the same room. Diapering and food prep will be situated in separate stations within the childcare centre to maintain the healthiest environment possible.  

Toddlers will gain a sense of independence as our staff will encourage them to feed themselves and introduce them to washroom routines. Staff will work with families in providing a smooth transition from diaper to toilet for the washroom training process to ensure consistency.

We are to provide a strong foundation for children to prepare them for Pre-Kindergarten and beyond. Children in this program will be encouraged to practice many self-help skills through play, such as dressing themselves, serving themselves at meals and using the washroom.  

Children will conquer new skills and practice learned skills. We will focus on the philosophy that young children learn best through playing, exploring, experimenting and creating. Preschool children will participate in many hands on, integrated and fun learning activities. The room will have distinct learning centers which include: Blocks, science, sensory, dramatic play, math manipulative, language, writing, gross motor, music and creative art.  

Children will have access to a wide variety of opportunities to expand their imaginations, make choices, practice self-help skills and develop their language, listening and independent thinking skills.

  Our Before and After School Program is based on the children’s interests, designed to engage the many curiosities of children through exploration, play and inquiry by honouring the child’s rich potential as competent and capable learner.

This Program is to provide support to families with children in kindergarten to Grade 6 by offering supervised activities that support the interests, skills and abilities of a school age child.

While school age children spend most of their day in class, the before and after school hours are a time when many our community families need support to ensure their children are safe and engaged.
