About Us

Mini Retreat Childcare Inc. was established in the summer of 2012 by Valérie Ferrante, our Administrative Director and Owner. With a strong background in early childhood education, business management, and a deep commitment to quality care, Valérie has spent over a decade building a nurturing, inclusive, and high-standard environment for children and families. Her passion for creating a “home away from home” atmosphere is the foundation of everything we do at Mini Retreat.

In March 2025, we proudly welcomed Dominik Ferrante as Vice-President of Mini Retreat Childcare Inc. With a strong entrepreneurial background and a passion for innovative business development, Dominik brings valuable leadership, strategic insight, and a fresh perspective to the organization. His dedication to operational excellence and long-term growth aligns with our mission to expand thoughtfully while preserving the trusted care families have come to expect.

Together, Valérie and Dominik are leading Mini Retreat into its next chapter—one focused on growth, consistency, and community impact.

Our Licensed Locations

Beamsville Location
Lincoln Kingsway Plaza – 5041 King St. West, Beamsville, ON L0R 1B0

Mini Retreat Childcare operates two licensed centres within the same plaza complex:

• Main Centre (Units 4 & 5): Toddler and Preschool programs
• School Age Program (Unit 13): Located at the end of the plaza
   

Programs Offered at Beamsville:

• Toddler Program (18 to 30 months) and Preschool Program (2.5 to 4 years)
  • Full-Time and Part-Time care available
  • Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Units 4 & 5)
     
• School Age Program (4 years to 12 years / Kindergarten to Grade 6)
  • Full-Time and Part-Time care available
  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Unit 13)
     

Grimsby Location
264 Main St. East, Grimsby, ON L3M 1P8

Programs Offered at Grimsby:

• Two Toddler Classrooms
• One Preschool Classroom

Note: We are also able to accommodate children between 15 to 18 months in our Toddler program depending on space availability.

Mini Retreat Childcare Inc. is licensed for up to 111 children between all three (3) Centres with the Ministry of Education under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA).
